We have received the sad news that our long-standing member, Nick Jay, passed away this morning, Saturday 3rd August.
Nick joined the club in the early days of his existence. He was a fearsome prop forward, and not only played in our first team untill he was fifty but also represented both Essex and Eastern Counties at senior level.
He also coached a very successful minis team for many years.
Nick's family have all been involved in the club over the years and we send our condolences to all his family, particularly to his daughter, Krissie, and sons, Steven and Michael. Our thoughts are also with his brother, Peter.
